Feel The Embrace
I was born a Southern belle, surrounded by the lovely mountains of Virginia. As a young girl, I learned through early seasons of loss that the comfort and healing I so longed for - could only be found in His warm embrace.
Much later after a little Bible school, falling in love with and marrying my Jed, a season as a pastor’s wife and being gifted two little boys,
I started To Write.
I wrote
in the form of a blog, updating friends on our journey overseas as international missionaries. It was invigorating to document how God was weaving together His story and extending His embrace in a different culture.
When we returned to the States, a new idea began to brew. I fought it and I fought it hard - for quite a while but, the Lord kept reminding me of the message He was stirring within me. Now, here I am a number of years later, (with another little Rowdy Redcay in our lives), filling this space with words of truth. Here’s the thing I wholeheartedly believe, if only one person is set free and launched into the mission God has for them - it’s been totally worth every moment.
Personally I’ve known what it is to weep in anguish, in the midst of life shattering grief. I’ve lived through long seasons, with deep awareness, that I cannot take one-more-step, without the strength of HIS embrace. My writing comes from this vulnerable place, with a conviction that there’s power in the word of our testimony. Why? Because we disarm the enemy (the one who wants us stuck in anxiety, depression and totally powerless) when we testify to God's work in our lives.
It’s within HIS embrace that I was set free and encountered the power of the Lord’s transforming love. I long to see you delivered from the chains that are binding you friend and released into a life of freedom that compels you to run this race as a fearless warrior.

"Embrace the God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you...that's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything."
